The 2019 Babcock Teacher of the Year is awarded to high school
science teacher Glenn McCabe of BFA Saint Albans. In nominating
Glenn, Cindy Bernier – who was the parent of two of Glenn’s prior
students – remarked, “Mr. McCabe uses innovation in STEM education
by continuously researching new techniques. His assigned projects
are relevant and meaningful. He uses topics that are appealing to his
audience. He motivates his students to learn by making a difficult subject,
fun and hands-on. He is always in a great mood and has a way to
communicate with all students on their level. He shows respect to his
students, and as a result has earned their unwavering respect as well.”
